Wangaratta Art School
Welcome to
Wangaratta Art School
A warm, welcoming space for artists of all abilities. Whether you're just starting out or picking up the brush again, you're welcome here.

Your Fridge Needs Better Art
You won’t be handed the same project as everybody else or expected to work at somebody else’s pace.
At Wangaratta Art School, every class is private and planned around the individual. We can work on drawing, painting, mixed media, developing ideas, building confidence or finally starting the artwork you have been thinking about for months.
You might be completely new to art, returning after a long break or looking for someone who can help take your work further. You do not need to arrive with a plan. That is something we can work out together.
The studio is warm, calm and easy to settle into. There is room to talk, room to concentrate and no pressure to create in a particular way.
If this sounds like the sort of art class you have been looking for, book a free consultation with me. We’ll talk about what you would like from your classes and the best place for us to begin.
About the Artist
I’m Sam, the artist and teacher behind Wangaratta Art School.
I’ve created a private studio where people can learn real art skills without the pressure of a busy classroom. Because I work one-to-one, I get to know how each person thinks, communicates and creates. I can slow things down, explain something differently, follow an unexpected idea or spend three hours getting properly absorbed in one piece of work.
My approach is patient, practical and encouraging. I’ll support you, but I’ll also teach you what you need to know and help you see where your artwork can go next.
I hold a Diploma of Art Therapy and a Diploma of Nursing, along with a current Working with Children Check, National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.

" There is a growing number of students who are finding a safe and supportive space at Wangaratta Art School."
